Fit tests are essential to insuring that a respirator forms a good seal against the user’s face and prevents contaminants from leaking into the mask. Pet CPR & First Aid

Pet First Aid is a class that is intended for anyone that is interested in caring for their pet during an emergency.

The class is intended for dog lovers with little to no pet first aid experience. This class is fun and informative for teens and adults with plenty of individual Instructor time. Students will learn in a virtual environment via zoom with video lessons and instructor-student interaction and have the optional opportunity to practice various hands-on skills with CPR mannequins.

In the CPR portion of the class, the video allows you to learn how to do effective chest compressions and rescue breathing, and how to locate a pulse on your pet. For the First Aid portion, the video will demonstrate bandaging and other first aid techniques.

The class is scheduled in sections and has about 2-3 hours of instruction. Students will also get information to take home to help them prepare for an emergency or a disaster for their dog.

Some of the skills and information that students will learn include:

Personal safety
What's normal for your pet.
How to restrain a sick or injured animal.
How to help a choking dog or cat.
How to check a pulse on a dog or cat.

How to do a physical assessment (snout to tail)

ACLS-EP (Experienced Provider)

ACLS for Experienced Providers course goes beyond the core ACLS training by offering critical thinking opportunities for those advanced, experienced, healthcare professionals who use ACLS on a regular basis. The goal of the Course is to improve outcomes in complex cardiovascular, respiratory and other (eg, metabolic, toxicologic) emergencies by expanding on core ACLS guidelines and encouraging critical thinking and decision-making strategies. Through instruction and active participation in case-based scenarios, learners enhance their skills in the differential diagnosis and treatment of prearrest, arrest and postarrest patients. ACLS EP course content reflects the most current science from the AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC, American College of Cardiology Foundation/AHA Guidelines for the Management of ST-Elevation MI and ACCF/AHA Guidelines for the Management of Patients With Unstable Angina/Non-ST Elevation MI.

ACLS, PALS & BLS Skills Combo Course

The Heartcode BLS, ACLS & PALS Skills Course are required for any student who completed the Heartcode Online courses through the American Heart Assiciation. This course includes Parts II (Skills practice) and Part 3 (Skills testing). Students are required to bring their online completion certificate. The skill session lasts about 1 hour depending on how many students are scheduled. Once the skills portion is completed, the student will receive their cards

WHO SHOULD TAKE THE COURSE?
