BLS for healthcare Providers course (Original 2020) 

The Amercian Heart Association - BLS for Healthcare Providers course is designed to provide a wide variety of certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed, healthcare professionals with the skills to keep people alive until they can be brought to a hospital or be treated with more advanced lifesaving measures.

The BLS course covers:

  • Adult and pediatric CPR
  • Two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask
  • Foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious)
  • Automated external defibrillation (includes child AED update)
  • Special resuscitation situations
  • Other cardiopulmonary emergencies
  • Stroke and cardiac arrest

BLS for healthcare Providers course (Renewal 2020)

The Heartcode BLS Skills Course is required for any student who completed the BLS Heartcode Online course through the American Heart Assiciation. This course includes Parts II (Skills practice) and Part 3 (Skills testing). Students are required to bring their online completion certificate. The skill session lasts about 30 minutes depending on how many students are scheduled. Once the skills portion is completed, the student will receive their card.

Cost $50.00

ACLS Course (Original 2020) 

The ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology.
Skills are taught in large-group sessions and small-group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

MANDATORY PRECOURSE MATERIAL

This is a magnificent change; even those not yet up for renewal can update by watching the videos and gaining new information before Renewal or Initial class. The skill session lasts about 30 minutes depending on how many students are scheduled. Once the skills portion is completed, the student will receive their card.

Cost $140

Fit tests are essential to insuring that a respirator forms a good seal against the user’s face and prevents contaminants from leaking into the mask. Manufactures provide fitting instructions and use limitations on the product package. Respirator face pieces are made in various sizes to fit a wide variety of face shapes and sizes. Mas is included in cost of the course. Cost Per Person $90.00

Peripheral IV Skills Certificate Program

This course is an 5 hour class that provides the RN or LPN with the essential knowledge for practicing infusion therapy in any setting. The course includes insertion of traditional over the needle cannula peripheral aka "short" intravenous catheters. Instruction includes the insertion procedure, techniques for proper and successful catheter insertions, care, assessment, and maintenance post catheter insertion.

The Heartsaver® CPR AED course is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including: security guards, airline personnel, police, and firefighters.  ​It is also appropriate for lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, and family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death.

Course Cost: $75.00

HEARTSAVER CPR/AED First Aid Course 

This course is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergencies including: security, airline personnel, camp counselors, police, firefighters, teachers, day-care workers and physical-fitness trainers.  This course can also be beneficial to any other individuals who want or need first-aid training.  It is also appropriate for lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, and family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death.

Course Cost: $115.00

HEARTSAVER FIRST AID 

The First Aid course provides first responders with training in basic first-aid procedures. The course covers: First Aid Basics, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, Environmental Emergencies.  It is also appropriate for lay rescuers who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace, and family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death.

Course Cost: $65.00

HEARTSAVER PEDIATRIC CPR/AED & FIRST AID COURSE 

This course is intended for people who regularly come in contact with infants and children, including: child-care/day-care providers, parents and grandparents, nannies and babysitters, teachers and other educators, anyone else with the responsibility to care for children. The Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course teaches child-care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
